How do I finish wood countertops?
Finishing your wood countertop is necessary to protect it from moisture, stains, and bacteria and giving you an opportunity to personalize your countertops. You can choose from a variety of finishes, including oils, and varnishes. Oils penetrate the wood, providing a natural look and excellent protection against moisture. Varnishes create a hard, protective layer on the surface, but they require more maintenance and can be prone to scratching. Please follow the specific instructions on the stain you choose and be sure to coat with four coats for a proper finish.

The wood countertop is heat resistance, although not heat proof. We still strongly recommend utilizing hot pads for protection.
